Here's Trouble
“I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.”
~ Mark Twain
So I've caught myself saying 'wow' a lot recently. This may be due to an above average occurrence of awesome events; it may be due to eyes more open to awesome; or it may be a symptom of vocabulary quietly waning in an environment where it is exercised less frequently than my sporadic gym attendance.

An Unexpected Update?
"One should expect the expected can be prevented, but the unexpected should have been expected."
~ Norman R. Augustine
While at university, I've found that you have to engineer a few really good conversation starters; witty, memorable, and unique are good keywords to run with. Try not to sound too eager, or too aloof – there's a delicate social balance, and the merest flicker of your own pathetic iniquity will demolish your chances forever. >>

Universe-arsity Begins
"Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disclination to do so."
~ Douglas Adams
Hoo boy, has this been a busy few months or what? Anyone else spinning like a spastic bumblebee, or is it just me? Today was officially my sixteenth day as a university student. Things have been crazy enough that I've only just managed to sneak away from the hubbub and faithfully record it for your reading pleasure. So here goes. >>

Once Upon a Time
"For last year's words belong to last year's language,
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning."
~ T.S. Eliot
Ah, Summer. I love Summer. Halcyon sun, lush green foliage, feathery critters chirping prettily at the wide open blue sky – it's probably my favourite season.
Maybe it's just me, but the most telling indicator of Summer always seems to be the wind. That delicious warm breeze which gently swirls with all the smells of thriving nature, stirring up memories of sunny childhood and whispering promises of an even sweeter future …
Forget wishing for a White Christmas. Give me Summer any year.
'Tis the jolly season, though, isn't it? And one of change for that proud minority of almost-adults who've somehow graduated high school and are onto worrying about the beginnings of higher education. (Protip: that's me)
So, fair reader, lend me your ear, as I spin tales of intrigue and disaster, mayhem and monetary troubles. This is no quest for the faint-hearted. Straighten your spine. Ready your mind. Rally every last cowering vestige of your courage; for this is ...
University.
Stay tuned.
